Objective: 

Choose a museum, event, or event for an existing group and create an ad campaign. Create a call to action, brand voice, color palette, and design theme for a print ad, an outdoor ad, and a screen ad.

Project Description:

The New Orleans Pharmacy Museum is a small museum in New Orleans, Louisiana designed to resemble an old apothecary. Throughout the museum, different forms of medicines and tools are on display, from baby bottle tips with lead, to bottles that once held medicinal opium.

The ad campaign’s design pulls from the eclectic style of Victorian ads with illustrations and chromatic type, which hints at the museum’s apothecary-like building. Deviating from the muted, Victorian colors, the campaign features bright pink, green, and purple. The voice pulls from marketing tactics seen throughout the eras with taglines and information to try and persuade the viewer—the shocking, yet humorous nature helps draw the audience’s attention and pique their curiosity.
